About Aspirations Academies Trust

Aspirations Academies Trust was founded in 2011 by former head teachers Steve and Paula Kenning, working with education pioneer Dr. Russ Quaglia. The Trust runs 16 academies across the south of England, educating more than 9,000 students aged 2 to 18. Its aim is to use technology and modern teaching methods to give young people the knowledge, skills and mindset to succeed in a fast-changing world. Alongside traditional qualifications, its schools focus on power skills such as problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity.

Staff are well supported in their development, with full-time employees receiving 125 hours of free professional training and qualifications each year. For an IT role, this means working in a technology-driven environment where you'd be supporting staff and students across multiple sites, with good opportunities to build your career.

Future Prospects

After successfully completing the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship, the apprentice will have developed practical IT support skills, technical knowledge and professional workplace behaviours to support progression within the organisation.

The apprentice may be considered for progression onto a higher apprenticeship, such as the Advanced IT Level 4 programme, subject to performance and business needs.

There may also be opportunities to progress into more senior IT roles within the organisation, supporting a long-term career within IT, digital infrastructure or technical services.
