Role Overview

  • Post purchase and sales invoices into accounting software (Nomi).
  • Scan and save documents efficiently into the CRM system.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
  • Post and reconcile bank statements.
  • Assist the Accounts Manager with managing and sorting client data.
  • Support the Accounts Manager in preparing VAT returns.
  • Report the results of assigned work to the Accounts Manager.
  • Organise and sort supplier invoices.
  • Centralise client document scanning and saving to CRM.
  • Liaise with branches regarding their scanning requirements.
  • Handle files and prepare them for storage.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by management.

Training to be Provided

You will undertake an Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship, gaining a nationally recognised qualification. This will include dedicated off-the-job training, likely involving one day release for college/study, alongside practical, on-the-job experience and mentorship from experienced professionals at Joy Lane & Co Ltd.
