Role Overview

  • Act as a professional representative of EduFin at all times.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for the quality of work delivered.
  • Identify opportunities to promote EduFin's services, including Helpdesk, Connect, Software, and Consultancy.
  • Consistently deliver added value to clients through your work.
  • Complete all internal training within specified timeframes.
  • Perform additional duties as required by Directors and Senior staff.
  • Ensure all transactions and advice align with client financial policies, DfE guidance, and statutory financial regulations.
  • Post purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods received notes, and purchase invoices accurately and timely to client accounting software.
  • Ensure expenditure is recorded against correct nominal codes, cost centres, and VAT codes.
  • Receive and check supplier statements, investigating and resolving any creditor issues.
  • Raise sales invoices as requested by clients on the accounting system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure income is recorded against correct nominal codes, cost centres, and VAT codes.
  • Process and send sales invoice requests to debtors promptly.
  • Monitor and chase invoices to ensure prompt payment.
  • Perform other sales ledger maintenance duties as requested by clients.
  • Process paying-in slips/remittances on the accounting system in a timely manner.
  • Process petty cash returns and conduct month-end reconciliations.
  • Process credit card returns on the accounting system in a timely manner.
  • Post all relevant grant income received.

Training to be Provided

You will be fully supported to achieve your AAT qualification, one of the most recognised in the Finance industry. This includes shadowing experienced consultants on client sites, assisting with finance assistant roles, and progressing to consultancy days as you gain experience. EduFin will provide a comprehensive study package and support, including dedicated study days and opportunities for further professional qualifications like ACCA.

  • Treating college days as working days, logging in and signing off as designated.
