Role Overview

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
  • Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and supplier/customer accounts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
  • Process journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Assist with payroll administration and payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems.
  • Communicate with clients to request information and answer routine queries.
  • Assist with personal and business tax administration.
  • Support senior accountants with a variety of client accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures.
  • Use accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks, alongside Microsoft Excel.
  • Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and integrity.

Training to be Provided

This apprenticeship will provide comprehensive training in all aspects of accountancy, taxation, and client relationships. You will gain practical, on-the-job experience supported by formal training, allowing you to develop a strong foundation for a successful career in finance. You will have access to the latest practice software and opportunities for personal growth and development. We offer in-person classroom training with our highly reputable tutors.
