Role Overview

  • Carry out general administration and provide support to the wider office team.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and the meticulous maintenance of financial records.
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns and payroll processes.
  • Help with producing accurate profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.
  • Learn to prepare self-assessment tax returns for various clients.
  • Record payments and receipts efficiently using industry-standard software.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies.
  • Support client communications and the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Learn how to effectively resolve queries with HMRC.

Training to be Provided

This apprenticeship provides comprehensive training, combining practical, on-the-job experience with structured learning. You will gain hands-on experience using leading industry tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, and TaxCalc. We are committed to supporting your professional development, including assistance with AAT studies, enabling you to achieve a recognised qualification and build a strong foundation in accountancy.

Qualifications

  • Prior administrative, customer service, or finance experience is helpful but not essential.
  • An AAT qualification is beneficial but not a prerequisite, as full support for AAT studies will be provided.
