Role Overview

The key duties of the post are as follows:

• processing and paying invoices -

• recording receipts and payments

• completing and submitting tax returns

• communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions

• manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications

• establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the public

• maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures

• adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility

• booking in and confirming appointments in the diary

• plus, other duties consistent with the grade as directed.

Training to be Provided

This apprenticeship will provide comprehensive training in all aspects of accountancy, taxation, and client relationships. You will gain practical, on-the-job experience supported by formal training, allowing you to develop a strong foundation for a successful career in finance. You will have access to the latest practice software and opportunities for personal growth and development.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to communicate effectively with clients in person and over the telephone.Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships within the team.Proficient IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new software quickly.Ability to manage, organise, and update data using database applications.Flexible, dynamic, and driven individual.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.Bookkeeping or practice experience is a plus.Familiarity with practice management software, QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero is a plus.
