Technical Support Apprenticeship

Overview

Training and Assessment for the Diploma in ICT Systems & Principles will be delivered during six weeks of training, spread over the first six months of the apprenticeship. Training is carried out at our centre based at Barnwell School in Stevenage or via our new Instructor Lead Distance Learning Facility.

The training topics are:

  • Unit 2345 Communication & Employability Skills
  • Unit 25 Computer Systems
  • Unit 20 Web Fundamentals
  • Unit 44 Managing Networks
  • Core Exam 366 Networking Fundamentals
  • Core Exam 367 Security Fundanentals

Recruitment Process

The recruitment service we provide is free. We meet with the employer to understand their job role and create a bespoke job description. We then use this to advertise the role on the National Apprenticeship Service website and amongst local schools, colleges and youth services. All applicants are initially screened by Solveway. We then run an assessment centre to get to know the applicants and ensure they are right for the role before sending their CV to the employer.

Technical Support

With Solveway you will achieve the following Government recognised apprenticeship. In addition to your apprenticeship qualification, you will also receive two Microsoft vendor exams in Networking and Security.

Apprenticeship Duration:

12-15 Months

Minimum Apprentice Wage:

£3.40

Qualifications:

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT Professionals. BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Systems & Principles

Microsoft MTA Exams:

Microsoft Technical Associate core exam in Networking and Security.

Level 2 Functional Skills:

English, Maths And ICT (If Necessary)
